There are two main reasons we recommend riders use riding gloves:

What colour horse riding coat should I choose?

Will a riding jacket restrict my movements in the saddle?

Riding jackets offer long sleeves that provide complete protection against cold weather conditions. A horse riding gilet is similar to a sleeveless vest and is best used as a warming layer for your horse riding outfit. Gilets can also be worn under your jacket to provide an extra layer of warmth.
